WASHINGTON TRUST BANK Credit Analyst I-III - Private Banking in Spokane, Washington

Description Assists Relationship Managers (RM) in the credit analysis and evaluation process of existing and potential loan customers. Provides analytical support to the RMs under the supervision of more senior team members. With direction as necessary, prepares written credit authorizations, spreads business financial statements, and prepares personal cash flow worksheets and reviews financial projections and automated spreadsheets for analyzing commercial borrowers and prospects. Essential Functions: Assists RM in credit analysis, assessment of risk rating, problem loan reporting and other credit administration requirements. Reviews and evaluates business financial reports, prepares written credit authorizations pursuant to Bank policy and ensures proper monitoring and documentation are reviewed. Prepares financial projections and customized automated spreadsheets for analyzing commercial borrowers and prospects. Develops financial models based upon customized financial formats. Prepares financial statement presentations for analyzing business borrowers. Performs compliance and risk management duties as required or assigned. Regular, reliable attendance is required. Assists with other department duties and projects, as requested by team lead. Requirements: College-level course work, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field. Strong accounting aptitude. Demonstrated analytical/problem solving ability. Experience with computer assisted financial analysis and PC-based financial models; knowledge of spreadsheet applications (Microsoft Excel, etc). Strong knowledge of Bank loan policies and general commercial documentation requirements. Ability to prioritize assignments and handle multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of service to both internal and external clients. Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with and work effectively with diverse groups of people Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including grammar, correspondence abilities, etc. Organizational and analytical skills, strategic thinking and ability to work collaboratively or independently. Proficient PC and technical skills to navigate software, including the Microsoft Office Suite of products, word processing, spreadsheets, database, desktop information management, Internet, and related applications. Demonstrated self-motivation and initiative; ability to work well both independently and with others. Compensation: Credit Analyst I: $47,741 - $71,611 Credit Analyst II: $54,742 - $82,114 Credit Analyst III: $62,699 - $94,102 The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position located in Spokane, Washington. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. This position is eligible to participate in an applicable annual bonus plan.
