Description Laboratory Assistant - Microbiology at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children's Hospital Spokane, WA Under the general direction of the Laboratory Director, the Laboratory Assistant performs a variety of laboratory functions, which may include the following: Maintains laboratory supplies by ordering, receiving and stocking them. Answers the telephone and relays messages. Performs general laboratory duties including general cleaning, instrument maintenance, copying, faxing, transcribing and scanning results, and other related duties. Shift: Day Shift, Full Time Position, 8-hour shifts The schedule for this position rotates every other week: Sunday through Wednesday or Saturday through Wednesday. Required Qualifications: H.S. Diploma or GED Preferred Qualifications: Documentation of a higher education Coursework/Training in Medical Assistant course BACE (Biotechnician Assistant Credentialing Exam) certificate Computer experience Laboratory or related science experience Why Join Providence?
