Aerotek Pump Mechanic in Spring, Texas
Description:
A pump repair and service shop in North Houston has an immediate opening for a Pump Mechanic to join their team on day shift. Will DCI various pumps (horizontal multi-stage pumps, single-stage pumps, overhung pumps, and vertical turbine pumps), diagnose faults, and document "as found"/"as built" conditions with pictures, dimensional data, and dispositioning of all. Will utilize micrometers, bore gauges, veneer calipers, and dial indicators. Responsible for performing shaft alignments with laser alignment systems and balancing impellers. Must be able to work with minimal supervision -- No instructions required for routine work.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Must Haves:
7+ years experience on API pumps (horizontal multistage and vertical turbine)
Experience developing a repair workscope with pictures, dimensional data and dispositioning of all on all assigned jobs
Experience using micrometers, bore gauges, veneer calipers, dial indicators, and performing shaft alignment using Laser alignment systems
Experience disassembling, cleaning, and inspecting Vertical Turbine, Overhung, Single and Multi-Stage between bearing pumps
Experience balancing impellers
Best vs. Average
- Threading experience on Manual lathe
Disqualifiers
- No experience working on High Pressure Pumps (Horizontal Multistage) and Vertical Turbine Pumps
