Senior Software Architect
HP Inc. is on the cutting edge of personal computing, printing, and emerging 3D technologies. We are seeking an outstanding person for the role of Senior Software Architect with AI Expertise in the Displays Solutions Organization. This person will be principally responsible for building out an AI enabled product ecosystems in support of our Displays ecosystem. The Senior Software Architect will lead the design and development of software solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements and align with company standards and practices. They will be responsible for defining system architecture, leading technical design, and guiding the development team through complex projects.
Responsibilities
Develop high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility.
Define all aspects of development from appropriate technology and workflow to coding standards.
Oversee progress of the development team to ensure consistency with initial design.
Provide technical guidance and coaching to developers and engineers.
Understand the business needs and product requirements; translate those needs into architectural designs and software specifications.
Build out architectures that are both flexible in design delivery and resilient to changes.
Create, prioritize, communicate, manage and execute roadmaps, project plans and commitments.
Utilize multiple software development methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
Implement and reinforce technology best practices and standards to effectively manage technical debt.
Continually evaluate and identify opportunities for improvement, innovation, and transformation.
Serve as the senior technical lead for platform development teams, supporting the technical deliverables from requirements phase through product launch and sustaining.
Collaborate with cross-functional partners including Product Management and Technical Program Managers to drive product direction.
Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
Manage relationships with outsourced service partners and suppliers including setting expectations regarding deliverables, product quality, schedules, and costs; ensures that team members are effectively communicating and collaborating with outsourced resources.
Understanding how to develop complex, scalable, and maintainable applications.
Ensure software meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility, etc.
Knowledge and skills
Expertise with React Native, C++/C#, and windows services
Experience with using and integrating third-party libraries and APIs
Proven software development experience and familiarity with the enablement of AI models
Understanding of Agile principles and experienced working in tools like ADO or JIRA
Adhere to industry standard platform design principles, application frameworks and development processes
Qualified applicants will need
A master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or similar level of applied knowledge gained through industry experience.
7-10 years of leadership experience with technologies including device architecture, system architecture, software platforms, large scale deployment and related solutions that are leveraged across a large organization.
7-10 years solving complex problems in software/firmware on devices.
Familiarity with the development and integration of AI models
Effective communication that spans locations and timezones
Ability to establish a vision, align executive leaders, convey complex concepts to teams with differing backgrounds, build trust and create engaging partnerships.

The base pay range for this role is $137,000 to $211,000 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
