West Street Child Care Learning Center Education Coordinator in Spring Valley, New York
The Education Coordinator plays a pivotal role in enhancing the educational experience within our organization. This position is responsible for developing and implementing curriculum, managing educational projects, and fostering relationships with students and faculty. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in education administration, project management, and grant writing, with a passion for educating and supporting students in their academic journeys.
Responsibilities: Develop and implement engaging curriculum that meets educational standards of UPK and Head Start of Rockland and student needs. Write educational materials and resources to support teaching initiatives. Oversee education administration tasks, ensuring compliance with institutional policies. Manage various educational projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines and objectives are met. Recruit and train educators or volunteers to support program delivery. Collaborate with university partners to enhance educational offerings and opportunities for students. Engage with students to assess their needs and provide guidance throughout their educational experience. Conduct grant writing to secure funding for educational programs and initiatives.
Qualifications: Proven experience in curriculum development and education administration. Strong writing skills, particularly in creating educational content and grant proposals. Demonstrated project management abilities, with a track record of successfully managing multiple initiatives simultaneously. Experience working with students in an educational setting is highly desirable. Ability to manage relationships effectively with diverse stakeholders including students, faculty, and external partners. A bachelor's degree in education or a related field is preferred; advanced degrees are a plus.
