Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
As a Machinist Trainee starting at $18, you will be meticulously trained to set up and operate CNC Machines, manual mills, and manual lathes. This role involves producing precision parts efficiently under the guidance of an experienced trainer. You will learn to position and fasten workpieces, align and secure fixtures, select appropriate tools, and machine parts to exact specifications. Additionally, you will be trained on safety protocols, including proactive safe lifting practices and the use of hoists. Your role will require you to absorb a significant amount of information, necessitating diligent note-taking to aid in your learning process.

This is a fully on-site position in Springfield, Illinois.
Work Environment
The work environment includes multiple shifts such as Night shift (M-Th 7:30pm-6am), Weekend Day shift (Fri-Sun 6am-6:30pm), and Weekend Night shift (Fri-Sun 6pm-6:30am). This role is based in a large machine shop environment with approximately 165 employees and involves working with large equipment and gear cutting for major suppliers.
