The Office of Public Utilities, Water Purification Division is seeking an individual to develop, administer and direct improvement projects. Direct material procurement and requests personnel and resources for specific projects. Review facility and departmental programs and policies associated with projects and make recommendations for any modifications for improvements or project requirements. Evaluate various proposals. Direct consultants or staff on all matters pertaining to the preparation of specifications for construction, service, and material procurement contracts. Manage construction of various projects to insure adherence to plans and specifications and to advise on efficient utilization of personnel and supplies. Oversee purchasing functions of the Department of Public Utilities to ensure that the policies and procedures of the City of Springfield are being followed. Attend all contract settlement meetings to discuss and negotiate pending contract change such as manufacturer\'s service engineer\'s time adjustments, change orders, omissions, and damage claims.
