Advanced Project Engineer

Provides engineering support and services through project organization and execution. Increases expertise and proficiency in a technical area, including consolidation of skills learned. Establishes and controls project spending to budget by specifying and estimating project costs. Assumes responsibility of leading medium size engineering projects or participates on larger projects where a team approach is utilized.

As a Project Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Coordinating project timelines, budgets, construction activity, and personnel to successfully complete assigned projects
• Defining and executing competitive bidding strategy
• Specifying equipment performance and design criteria
• Maintaining effective communication with project team, staff, and project owners
• Establishing accountability through understanding applicable codes and guidelines to ensure designs meet codes, guidelines, and standards

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelors degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
• One (1) year of experience in project management in a private, public, government or military environment
• Current, valid Drivers License.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Possess expertise equivalent to that which would be obtained in a bachelors degree or higher in chemical, mechanical, or electrical engineering
• Prior experience with webline, extrusion, material handling, automation or inspection equipment

Work location:

• Springfield, MO

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized.

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

The expected compensation range for this position is $93,033 - $113,708, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidates relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental and Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
