Position Summary:

This position is responsible for overseeing and managing all maintenance activities related to the production and operation of the plant. This includes ensuring the proper functioning and availability of equipment, machinery, and utilities to support the manufacturing process.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs, conducting regular inspections and assessments of equipment performance.
  • Leads, manages, and supports the maintenance work orders and daily repairs for multiple locations and ensures repairs are completed in timely manner and with sense of urgency.
  • Ensures all safety, health and machine management issues are handled with high priority and in compliance with all OSHA guidelines.
  • Manages, supervises, and oversees vendors and contractors to ensure efficient repairs that are in line with Timken standards.
  • Responsible for managing a team of maintenance technicians providing guidance and training as needed and ensuring effective communication and collaboration with other departments within the plant.
  • Responds to emergency work orders, repairs, phone calls and emails.
  • Develops and manages a daily/weekly work schedule to minimize the impact and down time on equipment and restaurant operations.

Technical/Functional Skills Required:

  • Project management skills
  • Mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal, written and presentation.
  • Ability to make fact-based recommendations for technical applications
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Desire to work in a manufacturing facility

Minimum Requirements:

  • Broad Familiarity with manufacturing processes. Belt/Rubber knowledge is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles or other Continuous Improvement programs.
  • 3 years of project management experience managing multiple projects.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing or Agricultural Engineering is preferred.
