Pay is $19.49/Hour-- Bi-Weekly pay 10 hours Shifts, 4 day a week schedule-330pm/4pm start time until Production is completed. The Team Members We're Looking For At Dole our employees are the cornerstone of our success, and we are looking for dynamic individuals to join our team. We have an excellent opportunity for a Quality Assurance Food Safety Technician, at our Dole Fresh Vegetables manufacturing facility in Springfield, Ohio. In this position you will be providing support concerning product quality, breakdowns and shelf life. You would have the chance to grow your knowledge through your interactions with your supervisor, Team Leads, Production, and Auditors. Our work environment is unique. Work is performed in a cool environment with an average temperature of 34F. Concentrated chlorine and concealed ammonia is present. Work surfaces and floors are wet. Employees are required to wear approved shoes and protective equipment. Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs. unassisted up to 1/3 of the workday, and 6 lbs. overhead as job demands. Constant standing on a concrete floor, reaching, bending, stooping, and repetitive hand movements may be required. Moving machinery, including conveyor and forklifts are in operation in the immediate area. As a Quality Assurance Food Safety Technician, these are some of the things you'd do during the course of the day: Provide production support in all aspects of the Dole quality process. Maintain reports and system log entries. Remove product from shelf-life storage. Make determinations of product quality breakdown Evaluate, grade and input shelf-life data. Communicate with production and QA staff concerning product quality issues and concerns. Other related duties assigned by your supervisor. Required Skills What Will Help You Do Well in this Role? Good oral communications skills required. Previous experience in a Food Quality Role Solid computer skills and the ability to accurately enter data with excellent attention to detail. Hands-on ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented food processing environment. Ability to work independently and with limited supervision. Must be able to maintain regular and acceptable attendance. Ability to follow directions. Ability to interact well with co-workers. Ability to understand and follow posted work rules/ procedures. Must be flexible with the ability to work any shift as workload demands.
