This classified position performs skilled mechanical work in the maintenance and repair of specialized machinery at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Work involves various building, ground and equipment maintenance tasks. Duties require working outdoors in all weather conditions and performing light to heavy manual labor in tight quarters such as excavations, climbing in and out of excavations, lift stations, digesters, and working in and around sewer gases. Duties also involve operating trucks and other equipment in the performance of duties.
