Robert Half International Full Charge Bookkeeper in SPRINGFIELD, Oregon

Description Ready to further your accounting skills in a challenging Full Charge Bookkeeper position where there's plenty of opportunity for advancement? If you're comfortable with preparing and processing financial statements and accounts and managing all general accounting and bookkeeping essential functions, you might be the Full Charge Bookkeeper Robert Half is looking for. The Full Charge Bookkeeper position is a long-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity in Springfield, Oregon.

Key responsibilities

  • Completing bank and general ledger reconciliations; processing payroll

  • Performing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including collections

  • Preparing the trial balance and financial statements, including balance sheet and statements regarding income and cash flows

  • Studying and implementing federal, state, and local legal requirements, filing reports, and communicating with management on needed actions

  • Completing monthly, quarterly, and year end close, on time and in an accurate manner

  • Filing documents to maintain historical records

  • Tracking fixed assets to produce depreciation schedules

  • Overseeing work of accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers Requirements - Able to work independently with a minimal amount of oversight

    • Prior experience with Excel and Peachtree
  • Background in payroll preferred

  • Strong organization skills

  • Knowledgeable of accrual and cash basis of accounting

  • High school diploma or similar accreditation, and an AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business recommended

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in bookkeeping

  • Practical knowledge of Quickbooks Online

  • General familiarity with financial statement preparation

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Analyze Financial Statements

  • Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred

  • Account reconciliation experience highly desired

  • Adeptness in Bank Account Reconciliation

  • Deep understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)

  • QuickBooks experience highly preferred

  • Command of Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical

  • Competence with financial data analysis and report generation that is prompt and accurate

  • Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments
