VCA Animal Hospitals Veterinary Assistant in Springfield, Pennsylvania
VCA Old Marple Animal Hospital (http://www.vcahospitals.com/old-marple) is seeking energetic and passionate V eterinary Assistants to join our inclusive and compassionate nursing team. Potential candidates must have experience in the veterinary field as a veterinary assistant.
We are a well-established AAHA accredited, extremely busy general practice and 24-hour emergency care hospital, in Springfield, Pennsylvania. We currently have 11 general practice doctors and 6 full time emergency doctors, and a support staff of 65 team members.
Teamwork is an essential component in our practice and our team is dedicated and make it their mission to help pet’s live long healthy lives. Each associate plays an important role t in helping our patients and clients.

We are currently looking to hire 3 full time Veterinary Assistants, We have a unique culture in our hospital that values each person’s individual skill and personality. Please note that these positions requires a flexible schedule and the ability to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays.
The skills that you will be utilizing include, but are not limited to: obtaining patient histories, assisting doctors with physical exams, preparing and administering vaccines, radiology, patient assessment, preparing lab samples and filling prescriptions.
We routinely have veterinary technician externs, veterinary assistant externs, and veterinarian externs throughout the year, and our team is dedicated to training these externs so that they can become valued members in the veterinary field.

The pay range for this position is $16-$19/hr based on experience.
