Cabela's Accounts Payable Clerk - Part-time Temporary in Springfield, United States

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible, solely, for the timely and accurate processing of invoices for one or more Tracker Marine entities. The processing of invoices is a continuous cycle.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Verifies the accuracy of the received goods or services by confirming the date received determines when liability/expense is to be recorded, the quantity determines accuracy of invoice amount and the description of goods or services determines to which account the purchase is to be coded.

  • Monitors approved purchase orders for every receipt of goods or services. If the clerk does not have a purchase order for the invoice, the controller must be notified of the irregularity.

  • Verifies purchase order quantity, price and terms for accuracy. Any irregularities will be reported and resolved before payment.

  • Ensures that the data entry is accurate and done in a timely manner of this function and is trained in coding invoices.

  • Receives checks from the controller for mailing to the vendor.

  • Serves as a liaison between the company and the vendor, during common vendor inquiries.

  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Regular computer work, and sitting

  • Occasional walking, standing, and

  • Seldom to never lifting up to 50lbs

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT :

  • Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
