Key Responsibilities:

  • Systems Engineering and Integration: Support Chief Engineer and government staff to execute systems engineering and integration (SE&I) activities across customer site

  • Site System Process Management: Work with SE&I teams to execute site system engineering process; oversee site processes used to document and manage site baseline to accommodate evolving mission needs

  • Joint Office Collaboration: Collaborate with various Customer offices and other Government Agencies to integrate various GEOINT space missions into a ground-based architecture, ensure the delivering organization understands site integration needs and processes

  • Develop CONOPS and Requirements: Assist in developing standards, processes and procedures, and operations & maintenance plans; review and evaluate technical documentation (e.g. CONOPS, requirements; issues and risks, etc.)

  • Outreach: Represent government’s interests at various forums; provide analysis and recommendations to multiple government customers; and serve as liaison between GPOC and internal/external organizational project managers to guide and monitor progress

  • Location: On-site

  • Travel Requirements: Minimal 20%

  • Working Hours: Standard

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Clearance: Active TS/SCI with a Polygraph

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM)*

  • Experience: Minimum 10 years

  • Systems Engineering Lifecycle: Expertise in full system engineering life cycle; from concept, requirements, design & development, to deployment and operational maintenance

  • Mission Systems Integration: Experience with project management supporting the delivery, integration and transition of mission systems and/or mission applications

  • Autonomous Work: Ability to work independently to support multiple government customers and large, complex projects to address organization’s needs throughout system development lifecycle

  • Abstract Thinking: Expert at defining solutions for broad, abstract topics

  • Communications: Polished communicator (written/verbal), impeccable interpersonal skills and personal judgment and comfortable briefing or communicating with senior government managers

Desired:

  • Ground Terminal Systems: Familiar with operation of ground terminal systems and remote receive facilities and infrastructure systems

  • Space Vehicle Mission Planning: Technical knowledge of space-to-ground communications, terrestrial communications, mission data processing systems, or space vehicle mission planning and command and control systems

  • SIGINT or GEOINT Operations: Real-time operations experience as a SIGINT or GEOINT spacecraft operator, spacecraft engineer, or ground systems operator; familiar with space operations and policies
