About the Role

Named after the 17th hole of the Old Course, the Road Hole Restaurant is the beating heart of the hotel. With its commitment to using only the finest local ingredients, breathtaking views and exceptional service, it’s no wonder why the restaurant has earned such a prestigious 3 AA Rosettes rating.

An opportunity for an Assistant Manager to join our fine dining team here at The Old Course Hotel has become available. This position would suit either someone with recent experience in a management role within hospitality, or strong experience in a supervisory role within fine dining with the desire to develop into a management position. The role will include staff management, performance management and developing your team, maintaining high standards of service and presentation, cost control and budgeting, complaint handling, leading the opening and closing of the outlet and overseeing operational aspects while providing a 5-star experience and creating lasting memories for our guests who travel from around the world to visit us.

The ideal candidate

To be successful in this position you will have;

  • At least 1 year experience in a management role within a fine dining environment (essential)

  • Exceptional guest service and complaint handling skills (essential)

  • Proven ability to lead, train and motivate your team (essential)

  • Strong knowledge on restaurant operations (essential)

  • Willingness to work on the floor – this is not an office position (essential)

  • Good knowledge of wine and food (essential)

  • Strong organisational and communication skills (essential)

  • Confidence in the use of Microsoft Office packages (preferred)

  • WSET Qualifications (preferred)

Hours

Full time, 40 hours over 5 days

Remuneration

£32,454.24 + TRONC
