Insight Global Financial Analyst in St. John's, Newfoundland
Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Financial Analyst to join a large health authority in Atlantic Canada. The successful candidate will have completed their CPA designation or have a background in Canadian accounting with atleast 2 to 5 years of professional experience post secondary. The Financial Analyst will be working on the Finance team to reconcile accounts and code expenses and revenues accounts across all internal departments. The Financial Analyst will report to the Director, Finance and work in a team environment. The successful candidate will have 2-5 years of Financial Analyst experience, strong communication skills and attentive to detail. This role is a hybrid position in Atlantic Canada and will require the candidate to be comfortable working onsite in a hybrid model.
Key Responsibilities:
Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy in financial records.
Code expenses and revenues to various departments accurately.
Collaborate with the finance team to support financial planning and analysis.
Prepare and analyze financial reports to assist in decision-making processes.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data analysis.

Skills and Requirements
Qualifications:
2-5 years of working experience in financial analysis or a related field
Holds their CPA certification ideally from a Canadian accounting designation (CPA-CA, CPA-CGA, CPA-CMA)
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or similar field.
Proficiency in financial software and tools including Excel Spreadsheets and Microsoft Office.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Plusses:
Experience with Health Information systems - Meditech or similar systems null
