The Cigna Group Technical Writer, Lead Analyst – Remote - Evernorth in St. Louis, Missouri
As a Technical Writer, Lead Analyst on our team, you will be responsible for the research, authoring, publishing, and maintenance of processes, procedures, and user resources using various authoring tools and methodologies. You will work closely with various departments and related groups, business owners, and SMEs to create standard operating procedures (SOPs) and other types of documents. The is an excellent opportunity for a strong technical writer to join a fun and experienced team who support each other and learn from each other every day.
In this role, you will make an impact on our patients and the organization as a whole by:
Writing, editing, and formatting task-level documentation for various audiences to include but not limited to procedures, job aids, learner resources, forms, etc.
Collaborating with SMEs, business leaders, and product owners to document and develop end-user content in support of pharmacy operations
Working with a variety of departments and related business owners/approvers to identify process, procedures, and related systems training needs in support of business initiatives and operations learning goals
Participating in a dynamic authoring environment designed around quality, continuous improvement, and fast-paced delivery.
Maintaining overall documentation and audit records including creation, revisions, reviews, and archival
Maintaining awareness of new developments in technical writing systems and methodologies and recommending modifications in processes and practices
What you will need to be successful in the role:
High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing or related field preferred
Minimum of 3 years of technical writing experience
2+ years’ experience and working knowledge within knowledge management and KMS authoring tools
Excellent written, organizational, and analytical skills
Advanced knowledge of writing and editing best practices and use of style guides
Intermediate in developing online help and other forms of user assistance using MadCap Flare, or other related CMS tool required
Advanced interviewing and listening skills to gather necessary content from multiple resources
Experience managing large development projects required
Advanced knowledge of Information Mapping a plus
Team player, able to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment and willing to contribute when help is needed outside of primary job responsibilities
Excellent communication skills, curiosity and attention to detail are critical
Ability to learn quickly, solve problems and make decisions with minimal supervision
Organized and flexible, with the ability to prioritize and work under time constraints and meet project deadlines
Creative thinker with innovative spirit. Ability to look for new and better ways to develop content/perform tasks. Effective execution on new methods, when appropriate
Familiarity with HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript experience a plus
We expect this role to be remote, work from home, and have a primary work schedule within Monday – Friday, normal business hours, or as business needs dictate. We are looking for someone in the St. Louis area with the ability to visit the St. Louis office approximately quarterly.
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
