Job Summary

The Accounting & Loan Operations Supervisor leads accounting and loan operations for US and Canada Dental and US Vet equipment finance business. This role is responsible for managing, reviewing, and developing loan operations and reporting procedures for the corporate equipment financing department reporting to the Sr Equipment Finance Operations Manager. This role will ensure highly efficient and effective accounting & loan operations.

  • Manages, coaches, and develops Loan Processing and Lien Administration team members

  • Ensures timely and properly prepared documentation for Strategic Accounts and Equipment Finance teams, including installment contract preparation, proper lien filings, and ongoing contract insurance coverage

  • Educates and guides branch personnel to ensure accurate and timely documentation preparation and submission

  • Contract management, to include communication with regional and branch personnel on a timely basis regarding transaction funding status

  • Demonstrate sound judgement in directing the loan processing team in prioritizing day to day responsibilities

  • Responsible for operating software and accounting entries or adjustments related to contract modifications, repossession, or legal activity

  • Accurately calculates and reports finance bonus for each business unit, including booking accrual entries

  • Accountable for ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation of equipment finance general ledger accounts

  • Continuously reviews and obtains feedback from the branches and internal team members to recommend improvements to drive greater operating efficacy

  • Prepares and compiles reports under the general direction of the Sr Equipment Finance Operations Manager

  • Ongoing management, assessment, continuous improvement of all processing procedures to ensure policy compliance

  • Provides backup support to Accounting Program Manager, Financial Software Analyst and other cross-departmental support as directed by Sr. Operations Manager

In addition to the essential functions listed above, the incumbent may perform the following additional functions.

  • Projects that arise from our day-to-day business

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting

  • 2+ years of accounting experience; mortgage or installment loan lending/banking environment preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Proven oral, written and presentation skills.

  • Ability to demonstrate strong customer service

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of leadership or management experience

  • Advanced skills in Excel and/or Access

  • Experience with SAP and or other major ERP system

This role is open to primarily remote work with the requirement to occasionally come into the corporate office in Mendota Heights, MN for team meetings.
