This position exists to handle the dissemination of criminal records, perform non-criminal justice dissemination and act as general receptionist to the BCA.
Minimum Qualifications
English (speaking, writing, listening, and reading) with knowledge of proper grammer, spelling, punctuation, and business letter structure is imperative.
Customer service skills sufficient to assist customers in person, on the phone, and through email and other written or electronic correspondence.
Typing/keyboarding and data entry skills required.
Ability to collect, count, and disburse money and do basic math.
Word Processing sufficient to disseminate non-automated records and print documents and envelopes.
Preferred Qualifications
Specialized terminology (legal/criminal justice) sufficient to read and interpret criminal history and other documents received from criminal justice agencies.
The ability to enter data, keyboard/type, create and edit a variety of documents accurately at 60 words per minute (wpm).
Ability to work cooperatively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and underserved communities.
Physical Requirements
Requires occasionally moving and transporting 50-pound items and frequently moving and transporting objects such as heavy tools and heavy file boxes. This job may require positioning self to move to a significant degree across rough terrain or may involve maintaining a stationary position for extended periods.
