Ecolab Inc GIS Developer in St. Paul, Minnesota

The Platform GIS Developer will help lead the team through an expanding focus surrounding information automation and data science in support of development of the enterprise GIS system. This position is part of the GIS pooled resources (center of excellence) to support expanded spatial-based business intelligence and safety through GPS telematics, connected equipment, business transformation and territory planning applications within route, district, and sales and operations business planning, and emergency management. The GIS center of excellence meets critical business needs by improving responsiveness, effectiveness, and efficiency, through innovative research, defined architectures, planning, and optimal use of GIS and other business information and technology. Enable's universal enterprise data access by linking geospatial and business attributes to effect efficient territories, measured service, and business expansion. Your work will help to enable a consistent, coordinated, and proactive GIS-based planning approach by supporting the broader team of Managers and Analysts regarding spatial data flow aspects within the organization, innovation of new insights, managing ETL data movements and supporting in the administration of databases and servers. You will work closely with the Lead System Administrator on the centralized GIS COE - Platform team and report to the Director of the GIS Center of Excellence (COE). Position Details: Location: This position is based out of our St. Paul, MN office as a local Hybrid opportunity. No immigration sponsorship available for this position. What You Will Do: Complete various technical training courses and modules surrounding Esri GIS (Geographic Information Systems) software applications. Grow new skills in the concepts of Applied GIS, Esri Enterprise system administration, and Microsoft Azure. Interface with other Sr. and Lead Developer's, Analyst's, and Division focused Manager's to support the development of architecture deployments surrounding automation of information analytics and processes to help improve route and territory optimizations using multiple criteria, routing models, profiles, telematics, and spatial analyses. Support project scopes and objectives through hands-on application, networking, research, and use of applicable technology. Collaborate with interdepartmental stakeholders to provide COE services to support their business needs. Coach business partners and users in understanding and adopting outputs. Document methodologies used in the administration of databases, execution of requests and standard reporting. Maintain effective partnerships with Ecolab Enterprise Security while determining requirements for project implementations. Develop and maintain a professional rapport with team members. Communicate effectively, both written and oral, with teams and management staff. Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill. Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors or Associate Degree in Science, Software Engineering, Business, Geography, Planning, GIS or related field. 2 years of Esri ArcGIS experience using Esri GIS software products involving GIS data development, manipulation, modeling, and analysis. Experience with Cloud platforms (preferably Microsoft Azure). Experience with Database/Systems ETL design, diagramming, and documentation. Capacity to design, develop, and maintain MS SQL Server, structuring queries, and query optimization. Ability to meet project deadlines. Ability to perform assigned responsibilities with some supervision and develop advanced skills. Ability to review and reconcile data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance. Ability to prioritize, organize and delegate assignments. Good written and oral communication and interpersonal skills. No immigration sponsorship available for this position. Preferred Q alifications: 2 years of experience scripting in Python or another scripting language. Experience collaborating with technical security partners on Enterprise-level IT security systems and Active Directory. Experience working with IDEs such as Visual Studio Code, PyCharm and Jupyter Notebook environment. Experience working within Software Development Life Cycle surrounding CICD, ITIL, DevOps, GitHub, Scrum, and Agile. Experience working with Esri Enterprise Geodatabases Capacity and understanding of spatial types to help design and manage feature and relationship classes of an Esri Enterprise geodatabase, including versioning. Capacity to tune enterprise geodatabases to work with Esri Enterprise Web mapping applications and other GIS information services. Experience working with Network Analyst tools and functionality. Experience with ESRI ArcOnline/Enterprise/Portal for ArcGIS. Experience working with ArcGIS API for Python. Experience with registering and maintaining databases using the ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise Datastore, Spatio-temporal Big Data Store and MS SQL Server. Familiarity with ArcGIS Enterprise Experience Builder, Web App Builder. Candidates are welcome to submit portfolio or personal GitHub repository.
