This position is located at Central Office in St. Paul, Minnesota. This position will have the flexibility to telecommute, work a hybrid schedule, or work in the office. The incumbent will be required to complete a telework agreement. The incumbent may be expected to work in the office on occasion.
This position conducts the administrative and compliance activities required to monitor and report on the progress and achievements of the department’s Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program for the agency , and works with local agency partners (Met Council, MAC, and City of Minneapolis) to ensure DBE Program applications are managed properly . The position works with other office staff, members of the contracting community and other partners. Responsibilities include:
Monitoring the DBE program administration and certification process to ensure compliance.
Analyzing and recommending action for DBE applications and certification; and
Providing support to other program specialists.
Minimum Qualifications
Two years of professional experience OR three years of technical experience in civil rights, contract administration, or contract compliance work that demonstrates:
Experience analyzing information sufficient to determine accuracy and compliance.
Experience interpreting and applying government regulations, rules, and policies.
Experience utilizing databases sufficient to update and track information.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of civil rights history, understanding of discrimination and resulting social and economic disparities.
Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to civil rights programs.
