Regions Hospital Supervisor, Clinical Rehabilitation in St. Paul, Minnesota

Regions Hospital has a leadership opportunity available in our Inpatient Rehab department. This position would be a great fit for an experienced Rehab Therapist with either strong leadership skills or an interest in moving into a leadership role. The clinical supervisor position includes provision of therapy services to acute care patients as well as to patients admitted to our 21-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation facility, which is located within Regions Hospital. An ideal candidate would have at least 3 years of work experience in one or more of these diagnoses: stroke, brain injury, spinal cord, amputation, or complex medical/complex orthopedic injuries. Our inpatient rehabilitation facility maintains CARF specialty accreditation in stroke, brain injury, and spinal cord injury. This accreditation means we are recognized as providing the highest standard of care as well as ongoing training and personal development of clinical skills in these diagnostic areas. The clinical supervisor will have leadership duties associated with maintaining CARF accreditation. We are also a Spinal Cord Injury Model Systems site, connecting our staff and patients to research opportunities and professional development in the area of spinal cord injury. The clinical supervisor may have leadership or research duties associated with our Model System participation. The clinical supervisor is responsible for the day to day supervision of the therapy site. Daily responsibilities include the supervision of permanent and casual employees, interviewing and onboarding of new hires, staff development, program oversite and development and communication responsibilities. This position works with the rehab leader team in collaboration to meet the needs of the organization, staff, patients, and community. The clinical supervisor ensures that the clinic operates in an effective manner with stewardship in mind. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday; 7:00am-3:30pm Required Qualifications: Graduation from college or university with a bachelors, masters or doctorate degree in Occupational, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy or other clinic therapy role. Requires 3 years work experience as a therapist. Holds appropriate MN license for clinic care area (i.e. OT, PT, Speech). Current BLS or CPR for Patient Care Providers offered through American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer.
