Department Overview

Risk organization covers both financial and non-financial risk management activities which include Enterprise Risk Management / Operational Risk Management, Business Continuity Management, Supplier Risk Management, Model Risk Management, Securities Reviews, Product Risk Management, Financial Risk Reporting, Loan Review, Market Risk Management, and Counterparty Risk Management.

Seasonal Analyst Job Summary

Under general supervision, the seasonal associate uses knowledge and skills obtained through formal education and/or experience to work on specific projects within an assigned functional area. The seasonal associate follows established procedures to perform tasks and receives general guidance and direction to perform other work with substantial variety and varied complexity. Some judgment is required to adapt procedures, processes, and techniques to apply to more complex assignments. Routine contact with internal and external customers may be required to exchange basic information.

This is a temporary role.

Work Schedule: Up to 40 hours per week for a limited time, determined by department need.

Start Date : Summer 2025 (6 weeks with potential to extend to 10 weeks)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides support and guidance for risk efforts within an assigned risk function. 

  • Assists in researching compliance issues. 

  • Making rule-based and analytical decisions. 

  • Specified projects and varied assignments relating to the assigned risk function.

  • Operates standard office equipment and uses required software applications.

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of :

  • Principles of banking and finance and securities industry operations.

  • Financial markets and products.

  • Fundamental investment concepts, practices and procedures used in the securities industry.

  • Fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of a professional office environment.

  • Basic concepts, principles, and practices of an assigned business unit.

Skill in

  • Preparing and delivering written and oral presentations.

  • Researching issues.

  • Gathering information and preparing oral and written reports.

  • Operating standard office equipment and using, or having the ability to learn, required software applications.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a virtual/hybrid team

Ability to

  • Attend to detail while maintaining a big picture orientation.

  • Gather information, identify linkages and trends, and apply findings to assignments.

  • Work under pressure on multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.

  • Use appropriate interpersonal styles and communicate effectively, both orally and writing, with all organizational levels.

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships.

  • Organize and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Educational/ Previous Experience Requirements

  • Currently pursuing bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or any other related College of Business major with expected graduation date of December 2026 or May 2027.

  • Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources.
