ADP are hiring a External Communications Manager to join our growing Service team!

Location: This role can be based out of our Staines OR Cheadle office -

Staines - 2 Causeway Park, The Causeway, Staines-Upon-Thames, TW18 3BF

Cheadle - Southgate Centre One, 319 Wilmslow Road, Heald Green, Cheadle, SK8 3PW

Hybrid working — 3 days in office & 2 days from home

JOB PURPOSE:

A pivotal role responsible for developing creative and proactive ways of communicating to our clients to improve brand awareness as a leader in HCM solutions, retain, grow our clients and make a positive impact on client experience. This role will work closely with business leaders within Service to develop innovative multi-channel marketing communications, keeping our clients informed of legislation changes, development advancements and thought leadership in HCM. A key part of this role will involve increasing our value proposition and delivering consistent communication to clients.

KEY DUTIES/TASKS:

  • Develop, implement and deliver a comprehensive external communications strategy working with the Internal Communications Specialist, Sales & Marketing Team and ADP Corporate communications teams

  • Manage a calendar of external communication initiatives that keeps all teams clear on planned activity -- ensure this is aligned with Internal Communication and Sales & Marketing initiatives

  • Developing a multi-channel external communications strategy to retain, grown and improve client experience

  • Deliver engaging webinars

  • Strong communication, negotiation and diplomacy skills working with Senior Stakeholders including our Executive Leadership team

  • Commercial awareness, ability to work against a budget and tight time frames

  • Align external communications with our vision and ensure all communications are impactful and on brand

  • Use of Eloqua email marketing software to distribute and measure effectiveness of communications

  • Work closely with senior leaders in ADP UK to help drive effective communications to clients

  • Support & cover the Internal Communications Specialist role when required including during holiday and sickness

  • To align with the ESI communications team to share best practice and alignment with ongoing initiatives

GENERAL:

  • Apply ADP communications governance, brand values and visual identity guidelines to all communications through multiple channels: internal events / email / posters and infographics/associate portal/video/collaboration software.

  • Work with the Enterprise Learning Team to promote effective internal and external client communication

  • Support and advise managers and leaders within Service with expert external communications guidance, enabling them to be effective communicators

  • Coach key stakeholders as required on communication matters e.g. presentation style and use of language

  • Monitor and engage as required on business projects & initiatives providing effective communications support

  • Be aware of, review and implement the latest communication methods and strategies where appropriate

  • Deliver against objectives, deadlines and within agreed budgets

  • Reporting to the Head of Service

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate level with professional qualifications in Communications, Marketing or similar

  • 5 years' experience in external communications working with senior stakeholders

  • Demonstrated experience with content management creation, marketing programs, complex communication initiatives & deployments.

  • Experience using selecting and using best communications vehicles to convey messages

  • Experience using professional email marketing software

SKILLS:

  • Strong communicator & presenter with exceptional verbal and written communication skills

  • Highly organised, proactive with strong project management & time management skills

  • High attention to detail with strong written, layout & design & professional publishing skills

  • Highly creative and innovative, able to think laterally

  • Strong knowledge & understanding of trends in digital media/social media

  • Event organisational skills with ability to work under-pressure to tight deadlines

  • Proactive with hands-on approach

  • Independent, self-motivated and enthusiastic

  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in a matrix environment

  • Solutions orientation to bring results to develop and execute strategic communications plans

  • Ability to deliver program analysis and metrics

  • Excellent organization and multitasking skills with meticulous attention to detail

  • Ability to interact with and influence all levels of management

  • Strong commercial awareness
