Description
We are seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our team in Stanardsville, Virginia. This job function involves processing customer payments, reconciling cash, and providing customer service within a tax and utility payment environment. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry for tax payments, utility payments, and other transactions.
• Reconcile cash at the end of each day and carry out light collections duties as required.
• Provide excellent customer service, assisting customers in making utility and tax payments.
• Utilize various accounting software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for invoice processing and account reconciliation.
• Apply skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Billing to maintain accurate financial records.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Take payments in various forms including cash, checks, and credit cards.
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality and adhere to company guidelines for handling sensitive financial information.
Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP)
• Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
• Skills in Billing operations
• Proficient in Data Entry tasks
• Experience in Invoice Processing
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with Oracle software
• Experience with QuickBooks software
• Proficiency in SAP software
• Prior experience in an Accounting Clerk role
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.
