The Career Advisor will provide case management and training services directly to customers to assist them in accomplishing their employment goals. The Career Advisor will develop and revise customer employment and training plans, monitor services, and identify appropriate support services and referrals. Other duties include: recruiting customers, completing intake requirements, and documentation of customer outcomes. The Career Advisor must have the following: excellent communications skills, including written, verbal and public speaking; planning and facilitating skills; conflict resolution; the ability to mentor others; ability to handle customer complaints in a professional manner; the ability to read, analyze and interpret (reports, regulations, periodicals); write (reports, business correspondence, speeches and manuals); present information and respond to questions; ability to empathize and show compassion; able to work well with and be respectful of co-workers, supervisor and administrative staff.
