About the Team Lakewood Reflections Mental Health Inpatient program offers intensive and comprehensive individualized mental healthcare in an inpatient setting for adults 55 and older. With a fresh leader ready to support your short and long-term career goals, Reflections Geriatric Mental Health Inpatient Unit is a great place for any season of your nursing career. As a team, we work together to cover the 24/7 needs of the unit, offer flexible scheduling with eight or 12-hour shifts, consistent block scheduling, full or part-time hours, and the option to rotate every fourth weekend if desired. Mission for Position Delivers comprehensive nursing care activities as part of a multi-disciplinary team in an inpatient setting. Provides nursing staff leadership and guidance. Assesses patient's needs, plans and implements patient care, and evaluates patient responses to treatment. Position Summary Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients, families, and friends Plan, implement, and coordinate nursing care activities and individualized treatment plans Perform treatment intervention, conduct therapies, and administer medications following the patient's diagnosis, needs, and physician orders. Interpret the nursing and treatment needs of the patient to nonclinical staff assigned to the patient Collaborate with physicians, multidisciplinary team members, and outside health and social agencies. Observe patients to report and record symptoms or changes appropriately Attend to patient's personal needs (oral hygiene, toileting, bathing, dressing, ambulating etc.) as required following physician orders Complete all required documentation relevant to patients promptly and efficiently. Assure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and regulatory standards Qualifications Qualifications Be an accredited nursing school graduate with a current Minnesota RN license Maintain CPR Certification on a bi-annual basis Ideal Candidate Is motivated to bring innovative ideas for process improvement and team engagement Approaches problems with critical thinking and is solutions-focused Provides all care and interacts with coworkers with integrity, honesty, and empathy Uses time wisely, is punctual, and is accountable Physical Demands RNs must sit, stand, walk, and assist with ambulating and lifting patients. This position in a health care facility is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Working holidays and work during inclement weather will be required.
