Description
We are on the lookout for a competent Plant Manager to join our team in Mississippi. The Plant Manager directs the functions of production personnel and the maintenance and use of the plant and equipment. This position is responsible for all activities undertaken by production in the support of strategic corporate initiatives.
Responsibilities
• Oversee and guide the production manager and their team for smooth operations
• Develop and implement operational management systems, processes, and best practices for efficiency
• Strategize and implement operational objectives for manufacturing operations
• Analyze financial data to identify opportunities for improving profitability
• Manage budgets and financial forecasts for the manufacturing operations
• Conduct quality controls and monitor production Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Recruit, train, and supervise staff to maintain a high-performing team
• Implement strategies to enhance the quality of customer service
• Establish and monitor performance KPIs aligned with strategic goals
• Lead the maintenance team to ensure minimal downtime and production interruptions
• Collaborate with the accounting team to validate job, process, and material issuances
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance, and foster a cooperative team environment
• Communicate effectively with customers and coworkers, demonstrating excellent presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
Requirements • Proven experience as a Plant Manager or similar role in the manufacturing sector
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing and production processes
• Exceptional customer service skills to handle client interactions and queries
• Proficiency in KPI reporting to monitor plant performance and identify areas for improvement
• Familiarity with logistics management for efficient material and product movement
• Experience in facilities coordination to ensure smooth operations of the plant
• Demonstrated expertise in facilities management, including maintenance, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
• Solid problem-solving abilities and a results-driven approach
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective team coordination and external communication
• Relevant educational background, preferably in business administration or engineering.
