The position

By joining our team in Projects, Drilling & Procurement you will have the opportunity to:

  • Secure technical integrity in project design and execution by identifying and addressing risks and concerns, and further secure an effective and risk-based follow up of project development.

  • Obtain and align relevant design and operational experience from similar projects and operating installations.

  • Review of regulations, standards and internal requirements to assess their effect on the project.

  • Represent the material technology discipline in project developments by establishing regular contact with contractor discipline responsible, ensure efficient use of standardized solutions where applicable, manage change proposals from requirements in the design basis, etc.

  • Collaborate with discipline network/leading advisors/chief engineer within Equinor.

  • Contribute to strengthen the capability for further development and implementation of our improvement agenda through the Project Development Centre (PDC) and Simplification, Standardization and Industrialization (SSI).

You

  • MSc or PhD in material science, mechanical engineering or other relevant majors.

  • Specialization in one or more of the following areas;

  • metallic materials.

  • welding.

  • inspection technologies.

  • corrosion and material selection.

  • Minimum 5 years of project experience.

  • Knowledge of international and relevant standards.

  • Multidiscipline understanding and experience, with a commercial mindset and the ability to lead, motivate and drive people & change.

  • You challenge established ways of working and ensure that standards, tools, technologies and work methods are developed, qualified and implemented.

  • Flexibility towards travelling and mobility.

  • Proficiency in English.
