Job Description
The Technical Support Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the technological aspects of the Tarleton Today program, ensuring seamless integration of dual enrollment systems with high school and university platforms. The role will focus on enhancing the academic experience for high school students and supporting teachers through robust IT solutions. The Information Technology Services office is located at the Stephenville Campus. Work hours are Monday to Friday; 8 AM-5 PM or as work requirements indicate. Must be able to work remotely at the request of the University.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Liaison and Oversight - 30%
Acts as the primary liaison between the dual enrollment office, IT staff, and participating high schools or educational institutions.
Oversees troubleshooting, analysis, and manages ticket lifecycle of dual enrollment systems, ensuring timely escalation and resolution of issues.
Project Collaboration and Consistency - 25%
Collaborates with project leaders to develop work plans, timelines, and resource requirements for dual enrollment projects.
Develops, coordinates and manages detailed functional and technical specifications for dual enrollment systems including training and communication plans for end-users, focusing on dual enrollment processes, technology, and continued support.
Program Analysis and Design - 20%
Analyzes, reviews, and documents the specific needs of the dual enrollment program, including system scope based on business and educational requirements and onboarding of new users.
Designs and coordinates the implementation of data reporting and business intelligence systems tailored to dual enrollment needs.
Team Management - 15%
Manages, hires and trains a small team of part-time employees to assist in daily tasks.
Other duties as assigned - 10%
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Three years of related experience in business analysis.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Five years of experience in business analysis, with a preference for experience in educational technology, particularly in dual enrollment or similar programs.

Knowledge of K12 and Higher Education
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong knowledge of educational technology and data analysis.
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
Knowledge of a variety of learning management systems.
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Experience in developing and managing IT solutions in an educational setting, particularly related to dual enrollment or similar programs.
Excellent multitasking abilities and teamwork skills, with strong written communication, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational capabilities.
Salary:
Commensurate with experience
The target base annual salary is $ 48,632.76 ma y be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to t h e mini m um requirements of this position.
