The City of Sterling Heights is seeking to hire a Parks Maintenance Mechanic who is hard-working, organized, task-oriented, and committed to a high standard of maintenance and repair within City parks and facilities!
The new Parks Maintenance Mechanic is eligible to receive a top of the market salary, BCBSM medical coverage with annual HSA contribution by the City, dental and vision benefits, retirement benefits, a generous schedule of paid holidays and leave time, parental leave benefits, and disability benefits. Position Summary
The Parks Maintenance Mechanic job classification is focused on maintenance and repairs to a large and varying inventory of Parks & Recreation facilities and parks. Under the direct supervision of the Parks Superintendent, the Parks Maintenance Mechanic is tasked with duties that maintain a safe and attractive park system. The scope of work requires that the Parks Maintenance Mechanic work in both indoor and outdoor environments during all four seasons. The Parks Maintenance Mechanic may be required to assist the Parks Superintendent in the performance of their duties.
