We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Power Platform Developer for a Full-Time position.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Power Platform Developer with Dataverse/Power BI expertise to design, build, and maintain customized applications, reports, and dashboards. The ideal candidate will have Microsoft 365 working knowledge and hands-on Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Power BI experience for building efficient, user-friendly, and seamless solutions that enhance organizational productivity and insight. The work environment is best suited for those that are comfortable with a moderate shift of priorities and tasks at an ad-hoc basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards using data from Dataverse.

  • Utilize Agile methodology for iterative and rapid app development (RAD) to deliver minimum viable product (MVP) versions.

  • Design, build, and maintain Power Apps.

  • Develop and configure the Power Automate workflow engine to build custom integrations and automated processes across Office 365.

  • Set-up and manage SharePoint Online sites, including information architecture and user experience design (UX) standards and guidelines, to meet business requirements.

  • Lead meetings for gathering stakeholder requirements and business relations.

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation (e.g., business workflows, user guides, etc.) of deliverables and meeting notes.

  • Prepare reports on usage, performance metrics, and project status for management and stakeholders.

Power Platform Development

  • Design and develop Power BI reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to provide insights from complex datasets.

  • Connect Power BI to various data sources (i.e., Dataverse, etc.) and create data models.

  • Optimize data models for performance and scalability.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements to ensure data accuracy and relevance.

  • Integrate SharePoint Online with other Microsoft 365 tools, including Teams and Power Apps.

  • Identify and resolve issues related to Microsoft 365 and the Power Platform, including performance, functionality, and user experience.

  • Provide Microsoft 365 and Power Platform training and support to end users.

  • Implement security and governance best practices for Microsoft 365 and Power Platform, including permissions, data access controls, and compliance.

  • Regularly review and update security settings to safeguard sensitive data in line with best practice policies.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or certification(s) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.

  • 3+ years of experience working in the Microsoft 365 environment.

  • 3+ years scripting language experience (e.g., JavaScript, PowerShell, etc.).

  • 2+ years hands-on experience designing and building Power BI reports and dashboards.

  • Relational database management system (RDBMS) skills, including 2+ years of experience with integrating Dataverse with other Microsoft services and tools.

  • Strong working knowledge designing canvas Power Apps and utilizing Power Automate.

  • Excellent troubleshooting, organization, and communication skills.

  • Strong analytical thinker that derives meaningful business insights from data.

Preferred:

  • Certifications in Power BI or related areas (e.g., Power BI Data Analyst Associate, Power Platform Developer Associate, etc.).

  • Experience in data governance, data security, and compliance within Microsoft 365 and Power Platform.

  • Federal contracting experience a plus.

Competencies

Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in Dataverse and Power BI, with a strong understanding of Microsoft 365 services.

Analytical Skills: Skillful ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into functional and user-friendly SharePoint Online sites and insightful Power BI dashboards.

Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to identifying and methodically solving Microsoft 365 and Power Platform issues.

Collaboration and Communication: Cross-functional team collaborative work environment experience that shares technical information to non-technical stakeholders for transparency purposes and user empowerment.
