GE Aerospace Services Specialist - Customer Order and Fulfillment in Sterling, Virginia
Job Description Summary
We are excited to have the opportunity for a team member to support our civil customers (contracted and non-contracted) on the Dash 8 and SAAB Platforms and our Navy customer on the LCAC Platform. This role will focus on logistics and fulfilment activities for our customers. Reporting to the Dowty Propellers Sterling Customer Operations Management Leader, you will have a broad responsibility for fulfillment activities transacted through Sterling for the customer.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Manage the effective communication to the customer regarding order status on a weekly basis
Work with operations team for status of customer units in shop and to ensure they are progressed through the shop on-time and in accordance with customer contract requirements
Quoting, shipping, and invoicing of customer units
Resolution of past due invoices when necessary
Work with materials team for material requirements
Problem solving
Lean initiatives
Back-up support to other Customer Order and Fulfillment Specialists as necessary to meet our customer contract requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Services and Fulfillment
This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Citizens. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.
Desired Characteristics
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office packages including Excel
Proficiency in the use of Government websites including IRAPT, WAWF, DCMA e-tools, CAV/RP
Effective communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Experience of working in a Customer Services environment
Aviation Industry experience, particularly dealing with military and export customers an advantage
Ability to build relationships and influence others internally and externally to business
Ability to multi-task and prioritize
Knowledge of Government Property Regulations
Knowledge of Oracle Golf ERP preferred
Knowledge of military shipment exports
