JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB ID: 21276 Position Title: Assistant Professor in Cybersecurity/Networking TTC Title and Code: Assistant Professor (FA040) FTE: 100% Principal Work Location: UW-Stevens Point Main Campus Supervisor: Dr. Cynthia McCabe, Assistant Dean, School of Mathematics, Computing, Physics and Astronomy Department: Computing and New Media Technologies Position Summary This is a tenure-track, nine-month faculty position in the Department of Computing and New Media Technologies at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point involving teaching core and advanced undergraduate courses in Computer Information Systems and Web Development. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in one or both of the following areas: Information security and information assurance Computer networking and server administration, including cloud infrastructure and DevOps There may be future opportunities to teach courses at the graduate level in Cybersecurity, Data Science, and IT Management. The candidate is expected to demonstrate professional growth, an active research agenda, and university/professional service commensurate with a teaching-oriented department. Anticipated Appointment Date: Preferred Date: August 2025 Terms of Employment: This is a tenure-track, academic year based faculty position.
