JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB ID: 21183 Position Title: Business Development Specialist TTC Title and Code: Outreach Specialist (OE009) FTE: 100% Principal Work Location: UW-Stevens Point Main Campus Supervisor: Patrick Gatterman, Director, Small Business Development Center Department: Continuing Education - Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Position Summary The Business Development Specialist is a key member of the SBDC Team as they provide all logistical support for all Center programming, marketing, and client triage. The SBDC provides custom business programming in partnership with stakeholders and topic experts. The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for providing logistic support to all programs in addition to fostering new relationships to grow programming based on client needs. Clients are the number one priority of the SBDC and therefore the Business Development Specialist will provide initial client triage in the form of first contact emails, business resources, and other information for initial client intake. The Business Development Specialist will also be responsible for marketing the Center including social media, podcasts, newsletters and other forms of outreach. Shift: 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday. Some evening, weekend, and varied hours will be required to accommodate business needs. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Experience working effectively and collaboratively with diverse groups and individuals. Ability to maintain flexible hours that includes some evenings and weekends when necessary, to support SBDC clients, activities, and events. Ability to maintain confidentiality of client interactions. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree in Communications, Marketing, or Business Experience in advising entrepreneurs and/or small businesses.
