JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job ID: 20438 Position Title: Digital Printing Technician Principal Work Location: UW-Stevens Point Main Campus Supervisor: Print and Design Manager Anticipated Appointment Date: May 2024 Pay Schedule-range: \$16.83/hour, minimum, based on qualifications and experience Position Summary Technical printing operator will troubleshoot and/or design and print digital files from various graphics programs from both Mac and Windows platforms. They will operate, maintain and perform minor repairs to complex, high-speed, high-volume document production equipment (i.e. Ricoh 8120 and 7110 printers) which service the UW-Stevens Point and local community, various other state agencies and walk-in customers. Perform necessary record keeping and bookkeeping functions. Some overtime on weekdays and weekends when very busy. Must be able to lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Experience with Preparation and production of documents. Experience with Windows and Mac operating systems Experience with Graphics programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat pdf files. Operation of off-line bindery equipment. Basic math and record keeping. Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
