- Provide organizational leadership/support for 4-H Specialists working the areas of Science and Technology, Shooting Sports, Military 4-H and activity management.\ - Maintain spreadsheets on event registrations, invoicing, etc.\ - Handle daily event and conference deposits.\ - Maintain database of all certified shooting sports instructors.\ - Serve as a member of the Oklahoma State 4-H Office team providing program support to the 77 field offices of the OCES.\ - May require travel from 4-H Building to various sites were 4-H events are held.
The State 4-H Office is located on the second floor of a building without an elevator. The employee must be able to climb and descend the stairs without the aid of an elevator or other type of lift.
This is a non-exempt position (which indicates that the position is not exempt from overtime pay or comp/personal time accrual). Office hours are M-F 8:00 -12:00 and 1:00 ? 5:00. Work hours should not exceed 40 hours per week. Any deviation from regularly scheduled office hours requires pre-approval from your supervisor.\ \ Occasionally hours may vary, depending upon 4-H events, to include some early morning, evening and/or weekend time. Travel may be required from 4-H Building to scheduled 4-H events.
Since this position is responsible for timely and precise deposits into proper accounts, OSU Policy requires that employee take annual leave (vacation days) each year in a manner so that at least five continuous working days are taken at once. (OSU Policy 3-0331, Section 1.03);
Due to the nature of the work done in 4-H building, some lifting is required. This is generally limited to boxes of t-shirts, workshop supplies etc. Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
