As we continue our quest to democratise financial services, our Hardware Team is now looking for an inspiring Android Developer to join forces with a community of innovative people part of our Tech Alliance in charge of shaping up Zettle's Payments solutions.

A glimpse of what you would get here
Part of our Money Alliance, the Hardware Team has for core mission to take care of the low-level integration aspect for all the PoS hardware that Zettle provides, from the card readers to the receipt printers, or the barcode scanners.
In this context, we work on delivering a foundation for other teams across Zettle to build upon. One of the challenges we are given to address consists in delivering well engineered work while keeping UX in mind so that it can support other Zettle's Teams with building a premium user experience on top of the solutions we have developed.
Working as an Android Developer at Zettle will also enable you to bounce ideas and cooperate with other Developers across the Android Chapter through code reviews and mob programming sessions.
Your responsibilities will include
Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to gather requirements;
Play an active part in the design of systems and features;
Implement systems and features with a high level of quality and maintainability;
Take the end-to-end responsibility for implementation, from any lower-level, up to any included user-level experience.

The skills you need to succeed
Although we will be there for you, we think that the following skills and know-how would greatly help to make the magic happen:
Proven experience in Android development with solid knowledge of both Kotlin and Java;
Good understanding of the interaction between hardware and software products;
A quality first mindset with a thirst for writing maintainable code, a know-how to write tests, and a constant care for the overall performance of the product.
