AIG Senior Casualty Underwriter in Stockholm, Sweden

We are looking for a Nordic Senior Underwriter to join our Nordic Casualty UW operation. The role is based at our office in Stockholm and will report directly to our Nordic Head of Casualty.
The team operates across all Nordic countries and Baltics and work closely with cluster distribution and commercial claims teams. The team consist of twelve underwriters located across the Nordic cluster, operating with products in both general liability (GL) and environmental (EIL). The Nordic team works closely with our UW specialist hubs across Europe, in both GL and EIL.
Job description:
Successful individual will operate across both Casualty fields (GL and EIL) and together with the rest of the team, be in close contact with major clients and brokers across the Nordic region and to some extent the Baltic region. The job will also include supporting the younger part of the team in their UW development.
Business Management
Monitoring and managing multiple distribution channels, partnerships, and brokers across the Nordic region
Handling of large, multinational and complex accounts
Ensuring successful execution of product development and underwriting (both GL and EIL)
Measuring and reporting on operational issues, opportunities and development plans against company objectives
Driving continuous operational improvement projects
External Relationship Management
Representing AIG to major clients and brokers across the Nordic regio
Expand and enhance the AIG Casualty brand across the region
What we’re looking for:
We are looking for a senior professional who have many years of experience in the casualty UW field, potentially experience in both the EIL & GL. You are well connected in the region and enjoying building strong relationships in the various markets along with delivering strong UW excellence.
In short:
Senior UW track record in Casualty or/and EIL
A “natural” with clients who can represent AIG effectively and support the introduction, establishment, and growth of valuable client relationships across Nordic market
Proven ability to manage a broad range of stakeholders.
Highly collaborative approach across functions and countries.
Good communication skills in both English and a Nordic language
Relevant University degree
