""Job#: 2019042 Job Description: Research AssociateBASIC SUMMARY:Your role as a Research Associate will involve: Researching new technologies. Developing different approaches to manufacturing processes. Implementing new technologies and approaches to develop new products, improve efficiency and scale up the production of medicines and vaccines.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Proficient ELISA testing and utilizing automated liquid handling, plate washer and electronic pipette.Optimization of ELISA process, assay development and technical writing of these assaysProficient in Assay design, troubleshooting, data analysis Generate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and related documents associated with these tasks.Assist in projects related to maintenance and improvement of molecular assays in the laboratory at the request of the management.Perform all other related duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:Education:Bachelor's degree (BS) or Associate's degree (A.A./A.S.) in life science or related discipline preferred.Experience:2-3 years related experience if BS, 5yrs if ASAn equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.Certification/Licensure:NoneOther: NonePHYSICAL DEMANDS:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, sit and stand, and use fingers and hands.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.WORK ENVIRONMENT:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to chemicals and fumes.The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.EEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
