IT Intern The Summer 2024 IT Intern will be responsible for working with our IT team and business partners to research, identify, and implement improvement ideas in the creation, visualization, and publication of the Daily Sales Dashboard utilizing SAP and Microsoft Power BI creating an interactive and iterative reporting/dashboard experience. Responsibilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data driven strategies Collect and analyze large data sets including data sources to destination and mapping Data mining to understand sources of data, update/change data mappings as needed Develop and maintain data models utilizing SAP and Non-SAP sources ensuring data accuracy and quality Design and build visual dashboards to support business decisions and trends; e.g. turn table based static report (XLS, PDF) into interactive dashboard (MSFT Power BI) Update and improve data extract, transform, load routines as applicable; for current format as well as for MSFT Power BI) Research, plan/design, build, test, and improve the Daily Sales Dashboard in Microsoft Power BI platform Document all research, design, execution, and improvement ideas, processes, and deliverables Conduct interviews with key consumers of the Daily Sales Dashboard (including members of the Senior Leadership Team, their direct reports, and others) to understand and document their data needs, unanswered data questions, and improvements related firstly to the Daily Sales Dashboard and secondly to other critical data reporting needs; e.g. questions they have about the data; what data is missing; what do they want in an interactive dashboard experience Improve user experience including understanding consumption and interpretation of the data output(s) Basic Qualifications: IT undergraduate or graduate student with preference for Data Science and Data Analytics Junior year or above; graduate level preferred Experience documenting technical and functional requirements for IT projects and with data analytics projects preferred Experience with database administration, database table structures, data modeling, and data transformation Experience using MS Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint Excellent communication and people skills Excellent attention to detail, both written and verbal Preferred Qualifications: Experience using SAP or other ERP system Experience using Microsoft Power BI Experience combining multiple data sources Key Relationships: Manager, IT Business Systems, Senior Manufacturing Systems Analyst, Key consumers of the Daily Sales Dashboard, members of the Finance team, members of the IT team, CIO Travel Requirements: None required; however, may be asked to spend some time in Strongsville HQ depending on project needs This internship will be primarily remote but will require extensive interpersonal contact with key stakeholders in IT and the business units Working Condition
