Aerotek EDM Machinist in Stuart, Florida

Description:

The Machinist II position performs all aspects necessary for the machining processes used in the manufacturing of components. This role will be focused on conventional ram EDM using Ona machines. In addition, responsibilities will include part cleaning, part marking, inspection, and graphite electrode redressing. In this cell, the machinist will be monitoring multiple parts running simultaneously.

Operates all manual, CNC, or EDM machines to perform completely and independently specific operations as outlined in the methods and process sheets

Changes, sets, and adjusts precision tools as required

Loads and deletes programs in the computer

Makes minor adjustments of feeds and speeds on the assigned machine

Grinds own cutting tools and drills (other than special purpose tools)

Maintains specific tolerances and accurately performs dimensions

Checks parts using specified gages or furnished fixtures to ensure dimensions are maintained

Performs routine maintenance checks and reports improper machine function

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent, and Three (3) years of relevant experience
