Summary About the Position: This is a military technician position with the 416th Theater Engineer Command, 482 Engineer Detachment, 863 Engineer Battalion, 372 Brigade located in Strutevant, Wisconsin This position requires an active membership as a Soldier in the Army Reserve before a start date can be set. Process personnel and payroll actions. Interpret and apply regulations, policies and practices applicable to unit operations and activities. Coordinate use of U. S. Army Reserve (USAR) centers, and arranges for facility maintenance and repairs. Advise new members on the USAR program, obligations, advantages and unit vacancies. Provide technical advice to unit commander and staff. Maintain liaison with higher headquarters assuring compliance with directives. Monitors unit mobilization readiness. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
