Belltown Farms Hudson, LLC Agricultural Equipment Operators in Stuyvesant, New York
11 Fulltime H-2A Seasonal Jobs available 02/20/202- 11/30/2024.
Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 45-2092 Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery, and Greenhouse such as: Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops including working with bins and augers; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Inform farm managers of crop progress; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest organic crops such as wheat, soybeans, corn, dry peas, cover crops; Load agricultural products into trucks without over or underfilling bed or trailer, and drive to market or storage facilities; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Attach implements; Walk field to pull weeds; Perform field and ditch maintenance, earth work for drainage; Maintain edges of field including brush hogging;
Requirements:
- Three months experience of the duties mentioned
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds
- Must be able to pass a physical post hire and at employer expense.
- Any drug testing post hire at the employer's expense.
- Exposure to extreme temperatures
- Extensive pushing/pulling/sitting/walking,
- Frequent stooping/ bending over, and repetitive movements
