Insight Global Desktop Support Technician in Sugar Land, Texas

Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join their IT operations support team to work on-site in Sugar Land TX. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems, typically of a lower complexity; May install software or perform hardware testing ; Enter commands and observe system functioning to verify correct operations and detect errors; Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial actions taken, or installation activities; Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support. They will need to be on site 5 days a week in Sugar Land and will have an hourly pay of $16-20/hr depending on years of experience and relevant skills.

Skills and Requirements

4-5+ years experience in a Desktop Support Role

Experience resolving tickets on a day to day basis

Strong Windows Troubleshooting skills (SAP or Mac would be a plus)

Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and manage one's time

Basic knowledge of circuit boards, processors, electronic equipment and computer hardware and software

Knowledge of hardware support relating to printers or monitors and software support with basic MS suite, OS installations

Experience or knowledge of how to remotely re-image PCs Active directory, IN Tune is a plus

Previous experience working on site with face to face interactions null
