Actalent Electrical Engineer in Sugar Land, Texas
Job Description
We are seeking a proficient Electrical Engineer to direct, research, design, develop, document, and production of computer or electronic equipment. The ideal candidate will apply their knowledge of electrical theory to design, build, troubleshoot, repair, and/or modify development and production computer systems along with related hardware/software. Key responsibilities will include creation of specifications and requirements traceability matrices, managing design reviews, staying updated with the latest technological developments, executing tasks through project management, meeting project or customer-related tasks and action items deadlines, conducting due diligence on the design to reduce errors, and design for manufacturing.
Hard Skills
High Speed Board Design (10G ethernet, USb3, USb4, display port, DVI, PCiE gen 4 gen 5)
Proficiency in Altium package
Experience in Aerospace and Defense standards
Soft Skills
Leadership experience
Project Management
Ability to meet deadlines
Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s). With relocation assistance.
Work Site
This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Sugar Land, Texas and some days remote.
Work Environment
The successful candidate will be working onsite for the first 3 weeks to familiarize themselves with the team. Following this induction period, the work schedule will be a hybrid model with 2 days working from home and 3 days onsite. Please note that this arrangement is subject to change based on prototype builds and troubleshooting needs.
