job summary:
We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. Under general direction, the Quality Engineer will oversee various technical and project management duties to enhance production and manufacturing capabilities. This role includes managing the design, control, and calibration of test fixtures, jigs, and other testing equipment, ensuring quality throughout the production lifecycle. The ideal candidate will provide advanced technical guidance, conduct root cause analysis for quality issues, and lead process improvements. This position will also interact with clients to resolve quality concerns and support engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing departments.

responsibilities:
Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues, customer complaints, and corrective action requests.
Lead process improvement initiatives to resolve quality problems and enhance product yield.
Analyze quality trends and perform root cause analysis to drive improvements.
Develop and implement process improvements for inspections, aiming to reduce and eliminate inspections for high-yield products.
Support internal audits by identifying and correcting problematic areas, products, or processes that negatively impact the company's quality image.
Create, design, and develop QA/QC manuals, procedures, and work instructions.
Provide technical guidance to junior staff and lead team efforts to improve production processes.
Interface with clients regarding quality issues and provide solutions based on analysis.
Requirements:
BS Degree in Engineering or a related field.
5+ years of experience in designing and developing QA/QC manuals, procedures, and work instructions.
5+ years of experience with inspection, evaluation, and testing processes and procedures.
Experience in Advanced Quality Planning (AQP).
Familiarity with LEAN concepts, Data Flow methodology, and experience as a Lead Quality System Auditor for ISO 9001:2015 standards.
Proficiency with AUTOCAD, SolidWorks, and manufacturing software.
Solid interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proven ability to manage tasks efficiently under pressure and tight deadlines.
