Atlantic Health System Medical Office Associate I- PD Days Neuro Pain Management OMC in Summit, New Jersey
Administrative duties to support the daily operation of the Pain Management Center.
MOA will collaborate with all members of the health care team. MOA will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE cove values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job.
Responsible for general receptionist, registration, and billing duties in outpatient procedural area.
Principal Accountabilities:
Manages phones
Greets patients
Schedules/confirms appointments
Enters demographics & patient information
Verifies insurance coverage, complete forms, collect co-pays
Balances cash
Maintains schedule in EMR system, and processes pre-certs/authorizations & referrals as well as medical records releases.
Assists dept by bringing patients back to procedure area and assists with room turnover/department efficiencies
Other related duties as assigned
Minimum Education and/or Experience Requirements
Education High school diploma or equivalent
Experience 1-2 years experience in healthcare administrative work
Preferred:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Individual must be customer and employee focused, must have demonstrated ability to multi-task
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
Experience with Epic preferred
