General Purpose of Job This position is responsible for providing information, assistance, and technical resources to cooperative system end users. This position must be able to acquire detailed knowledge on how data is stored and organized in a variety of business systems; some specific systems include Outage Management systems (OMS), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Customer Information Systems (CIS) and Meter Data Management Systems (MDMS). The position must have a thorough understanding of how various software applications work and how data is stored to ensure that reporting and analysis are accurate. The position is responsible for the design and creation of Business Dashboards, reports, and analysis products to support the cooperative's operations.

Create reports for internal teams and/or external members.

  • Review, analyze and evaluate business systems and user needs; develop reports and studies that analyze information contained in databases to management as directed.
  • Develop reports and studies that analyze information contained in databases.
  • Design and develop Corporate Dashboards that support the organization's ability to track performance
  • Collaborate with team members to collect and analyze data.
  • Monitor key processes and bring together summary and detail data from disparate systems.
  • Monitor and maintain reporting systems so that critical systems are available per Service Level Agreements that are established.
  • Use graphs, infographics, and other methods to visualize data.

Provide debugging and troubleshooting analysis.

  • Ensure Critical Software applications are maintained as highest priority to support cooperative needs.
  • Assist in the implementation and integration of third-party proprietary software systems into existing database application infrastructure.
  • Evaluate business systems and analyze user department needs and assist in eliminating redundancy to improve of operation.
  • Coordinate Vendor support for any hardware or software issues on enterprise application systems.
  • Patch and Upgrade software systems as necessary.
  • Conduct research on database, application systems and client/server products to maintain a high level of knowledge in the industry; make recommendations on processes as they apply to business systems to enhance efficiency.
